Eucharistic Congress - 2009 in Atlanta

Unfortunately, I am not able to attend this year's Eucharistic Congress June 12th - 13th, we have baptism class tomorrow, but I am praying that this year's Eucharistic Congress will be a huge success. I know that some of my favorite Catholic speakers will be there: Lino Rulli of the Catholic Channel and Teresa Tomeo of EWTN to name just two. Below is the website for more information. God bless!

Update from FRC

Duncan Duckin' Criticism
The Department of Education is doing its best to shut conservatives out, but that only means we have to speak louder! Earlier this week I shared with you that Education Secretary Arne Duncan had chosen homosexual activist Kevin Jennings to head the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. We asked you to contact Secretary Duncan and voice your concern about his past, which includes founding the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an endorsement of the book Queering Elementary Education, and his failure to report sexual abuse to the authorities. Thousands of you contacted Duncan, and as a result the Department of Education (DOE) began blocking emails that came through FRC. We received lots of complaints at our offices yesterday that people were unable to get through the DOE's server. Apparently, officials there tried to filter out your complaints.

If Secretary Arne Duncan won't listen, then go to his boss! E-mail President Obama today by logging on to www.frcaction.org. Urge him to pressure Secretary Duncan to withdraw Jennings' appointment. A man who is overseeing a major federal program on student health and safety shouldn't affirm homosexuality to our schools' youngest children.

Email President Obama today! Urge him to stop Kevin Jennings' appointment.
